My background is as expansive as it is deep -
and I bring that to the work I do with each and every client.
There are times in our lives that are demarcated by a specific event, like the birth of a child, getting a long-awaited pet, traveling abroad for the first time, or the loss of someone very close to us.
Some describe these moments as life “before” and life “after”, and others refer to them as “life-stopper events.” I’ve had several such moments in my own life. While some felt very positive—such as adopting my dog Buddy, and taking off to explore the world—others felt devastating, such as the sudden loss of my father in my twenties, and becoming a caregiver for my mother just two years later, after she was diagnosed with a terminal condition.
Years later, I was diagnosed with a serious medical condition myself, and self-care—setting and holding boundaries, managing my stress, communicating my needs, avoiding people and situations that drained me, and making leisure and fun a priority—is what I believe nourished my mind, body, and spirit back to health.
And now, self-care and other health-related practices are foundational to the work I do with my individual and organizational clients. Integrating these practices on a regular basis will make an extraordinary difference in the quality of your life and your business—as it did mine and the numerous clients I’ve worked with over the years.
